First USABS Performance Camp of the Summer

USA Bobsled and Skeleton recently wrapped up its first Performance Camp of the summer in Lake Placid, New York.

This camp brought together athletes, coaches, and staff to begin preparations for the upcoming sliding season. Athletes took part in ice house push sessions, lifting, sprinting, and more.

"I was really pleased with the outcomes of the Performance Camp. The attitude and energy of the athletes, coaches, and staff are a great indication that we all have high expectations for the season and we are doing everything to accomplish our goals," shared Curt Tomasevicz, Director of Sport Performance for USABS.

ON THE ICE

Board of Directors Experience the Ice House

Members of the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Board of Directors joined the action during the Lake Placid camp, taking on the exciting challenge of pushing in the indoor ice house. The board members even turned it into a friendly competition to see who could achieve the fastest push time. Among the amazing group of participants was Hazel Clark, a three-time Olympian in the 800m track event.

Media Day Footage: Team Ready for Action

The camp also featured the team's annual Media Day, where USA Bobsled and Skeleton athletes posed for updated headshots and participated in video content creation ahead of the 2025/26 sliding season.
