July 2025 Highlights: USA Bobsled/Skeleton

Celebrating Legends, Summer Training, and Recruitment Opportunities

CELEBRATING LEGENDS

The 2010 U.S. Four-Man Bobsled Team, comprised of pilot Steve Holcomb and push athletes Justin Olsen, Steve Mesler, and Curt Tomasevicz, has officially been inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, Class of 2025.

Pilot Steve Holcomb, alongside brakemen Chris Olsen, Steve Mesler, and Curt Tomasevicz, led the "Night Train" team to Olympic gold at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.

Their historic victory at the Vancouver Winter Olympics ended a 62-year drought for Team USA, securing the country’s first Olympic title in the four-man event since 1948. Racing in the iconic black sled nicknamed the “Night Train,” they edged out the favored German team by just 0.38 seconds to win gold.

Their team became a symbol of American strength and innovation. Built with NASCAR-inspired technology and advanced materials, it was considered the fastest sled in the world at the time.

Each athlete brought something unique to the team. Together, they ushered in a new era of U.S. bobsledding, and now, they are forever honored in the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame.

SUMMER TRAINING IN FULL SWING

A Bobsled Rookie Camp was also hosted, with 22 men and five women traveling to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, for further training, marking the next exciting step forward in their sliding journeys.
