Race Recap: Skeleton World Cup Sliding in Cortina

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, ITALY (November 21, 2025) - Team USA Skeleton competed in their first World Cup races of the 2025/26 season today, marking the first-ever World Cup races on the new Cortina track that will soon host sliding events at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

In the Skeleton Mixed Team event, Team USA placed as follows:

  • 5th place - Mystique Ro and Austin Florian; combined time of 2.02.08 sec

  • 18th place - Kelly Curtis and Dan Barefoot; combined time of 2:04.31 sec

In Men’s Skeleton, Team USA placed as follows:

  • 10th place - Austin Florian; 2-heat time of 1:54.31 sec

  • 26th place - Nick Tucker; 1-heat time of 57.83 sec

  • 27th place - Dan Barefoot; 1-heat time of 57.93 sec

In Women’s Skeleton, Team USA placed as follows:

  • 20th place - Kelly Curtis; 2-heat time of 1:58.03 sec

  • 23rd place - Kendall Wesenberg; 2-heat time of 1:58.39 sec

  • 24th place - Sara Roderick; 2-heat time of 1:58.43 sec

  • 26th place - Mystique Ro; 1-heat time of 59.37 sec
