Recap: 2025 Individual Push Champs

LAKE PLACID, NY (September 10, 2025) – Team USA Bobsled wrapped up the individual leg of the 2025 Team USA Push Championships, held at the only indoor bobsled/skeleton track in the United States at the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex.
In a sport where winners are determined by hundredths of a second, every aspect of the bobsled push matters. Push Champs marks the kickoff to the 2025–26 bobsled sliding season as athletes put their summer training to the test on the ice track. Competitors are measured on the speed and velocity of their bobsled starts, and results are drawn from the two fastest runs each competitor puts down.
September 8 brought the pilot's individual push competition.
Women's Pilot Competition: The order of the fastest combined push times from their fastest two heats of pushes is as follows:
Kaysha Love - 11.337 seconds
Sylvia Hoffman - 11.414 seconds
Kaillie Armbruster Humphries - 11.881 seconds
Elana Meyers Taylor - 11.938 seconds
Lauren Brzozowski also competed, recording a one-heat time of 5.884 seconds.
Men's Pilot Competition: The order of the fastest combined times from their fastest two pushes of pushes is as follows:
Kris Horn - 10.553 seconds
Frank Del Duca - 10.690 seconds
John Eldridge - 10.750 seconds
Shane Fisher - 10.878 seconds
Rob Soderholm - 11.174 seconds
Grady Mercer - 11.186 seconds
Jace Johnson slid with a one-heat time of 5.322 seconds and Quinten Arello had a one-heat time of 5.239 seconds.
The competition concluded September 9 with the push athlete competitions.

Sylvia Hoffman - 11.118 seconds
Azaria Hill - 11.150 seconds
Emily Renna - 11.352 seconds
Jadin O'Brien - 11.368 seconds
Lolo Jones - 11.389 seconds
Men's Push Athletes: The top six from their best two pushes are as follows:
Charlie Volker - 10.132 seconds
Carsten Vissering - 10.272 seconds
Ryan Rager- 10.339 seconds
Caleb Funnell - 10.359 seconds
Josh Williamson - 10.367 seconds
Bryce Cheek - 10.373 seconds
