Sliding into Success: Our Inaugural "Slide to Glory" Combine

We made history last Saturday, August 17th, with our first-ever "Slide to Glory" recruitment combine! The energy at the Utah Olympic Oval was electric as we welcomed over 100 athletes nationwide. We were thrilled to see so many of you show up, ready to chase your dreams of representing the red, white, and blue!

You amazed us with your dedication and skill during the four key exercises:

  1. 40-meter sprint

  2. Broad jump

  3. Vertical jump

  4. Prowler push exercise

We saw incredible performances across the board, and it was tough to choose, but our top three highest-scoring athletes will be joining us at the US Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. for advanced training. We can't wait to see what they'll achieve!

While "Slide to Glory" was our last in-person combine for 2024, don't worry if you missed out. We're already planning more in-person tryout opportunities for the spring/summer of 2025.

And remember, our virtual recruitment portal is always open if you're eager to show us what you've got! Click here to access that portal now.

We're blown away by the talent and passion we saw at this event. It reaffirms our belief that the future of USA Bobsled/Skeleton is brighter than ever. Your enthusiasm and determination fuel our mission to discover and nurture the next generation of bobsled and skeleton stars.

To all who participated, thank you for making "Slide to Glory" a resounding success. To those thinking about giving it a shot, we can't wait to see you at our next event. Together, we're sliding towards gold for the USA!

Stay tuned for more updates, and remember - you could be our next champion!
