2025 World Championships are Almost Here!
World Championships Return to Lake Placid
We are officially less than two months away from the 2025 IBSF Bobsled and Skeleton World Championships! Lake Placid's Mount Van Hoevenberg track will host the event from March 6-16, bringing top international athletes back to one of sliding sports' most established venues, where both the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games were held.
The local Lake Placid community has supported bobsled and skeleton for generations, with many residents volunteering at events and supporting the track's operations year-round. The track regularly hosts international competitions and serves as a training facility for Team USA athletes.
The competition begins with men's and women's skeleton events. The next days of competition feature monobob and two-man bobsled races, plus the skeleton mixed team event. The championships conclude March 15-16 with two-woman and four-man bobsled competitions. Click HERE to view the full schedule.
