USA Skeleton 2024 Selection Races Conclude

PARK CITY, UT (Nov 2, 2024) - USABS’ 2024 Skeleton Selection races concluded today, after two days of racing. This set of two-heat races follows two prior Skeleton Selection Races that took place this spring in Lake Placid, NY.
Races kicked off on the first with very fast ice and amazing start times from the team. The first race concluded with Katie Uhlaender claiming the top spot, achieving a two-run time of 1:38.80. She was followed by Sara Roderick at 1:38.85, Michelle Toukan at 1:39.59, Kelly Curtis at 1:39.66, and Kendall Wesenberg at 1:39.70. On the men's side, Austin Florian took first place with a combined time of 1:36.54. Dan Barefoot secured second with a time of 1:37.71, while Hunter Williams came in third at 1:38.37. Nick Tucker finished fourth with a time of 1:38.97, followed by Sam Allred at 1:39.56, Andy Whittier at 1:40.01, and Darryl Payne Jr. at 1:40.23.
Races concluded on the 2nd with another two-heat race for both the men and women. Uhlaender again claimed first with her combined time of 1:40.47, followed by Roderick’s time of 1:40.68, Curtis’s time of 1:40.91 and Toukan’s time of 1:41.55. Wesenberg completed one run on the 2nd, with a time of 50.88. Florian also held his first-place ranking, with a combined time of 1:38.65 in the men’s division. Tucker slid into second with a time of 1:39.68. Williams placed third with a time of 1:39.73, followed by Barefoot’s time of 1:40.04, Whittier’s time of 1:41.20, Payne Jr.’s time of 1:41.26 and Allred’s time of 1.41.96.
USA Bobsled Selection Races will be taking place November 8 and 9 in Lake Placid, NY.
